an adjective to describe the way you organize or clean things. It’s a disorder with many characteristics. Hell, some people with OCD aren’t even neat or tidy! It frustrates me when people do this, because chances are they don’t even know what OCD really is. I feel like we all need to have a better understanding mental illnesses and disorders. This includes Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
I agree, and am happy to see this expressed. I’m tired of people telling me they are OCD (not only because that phrase is grammatically incorrect) when all they are is organized. They don’t know what OCD is. They don’t know what it’s like to be medicated 24/7. They don’t know how it affects those closest to them. They don’t know the frustration of being unable to let things go. The frustration of repetition. The endless cycle that may be eased somewhat with pills, but which never completely goes away. That it’s not a joke, even though one may laugh to make themselves seem a little less crazy. And the feeling of isolation when they realize their family and friends can’t understand.
I have at least a foot deep layer of clothes on my bedroom floor, my car is a disaster. I am not clean and organized....
